The Mac Mini was released as an entry-level Mac personal computer and does not come with a keyboard, mouse or monitor, together with quite minimal possibilities of upgrades. As this is the case, the Apple Mac Mini does not support dual monitor setup. If this is what you need you will need an extra tool called “dualHead2Go“, by Matrox. This gadget will split your horizontal display lines in half and will send one half to one monitor, thus making it possible to send to two monitors. To put it simple, this will basically emulate the behavior of a dual monitor support graphics card and will make it possible to attach two monitors to one Apple Mac Mini. Now the problem is that the Mac Mini can not hold the resolution of twice the normal width. This is where a program is needed that can put in a custom resolution. We recommend the use of SwitchResX, a program that is free for 15 days usage and paid from that point. Keep in mind that dualHead2Go is also recommended for notebook personal computers and is a viable alternative to you installing a new graphics card that comes with dual display capabilities.
